The No Ego of Copywriting

When you’re in the world of business you see a lot of ego. LOTS of It.

It looks like the higher up you get the more ego there is.

But the professions that earn some of the best money, have some of the best rewards, and give some of the most freedom don’t have this ego attachment to it.

These professions are

  • Copywriting
  • and investing

Of course people like to put the ego there anyway….But the truth is.

If the copy sells, it’s good copy.

It’s well written, it brings in customers… leads… money.

That’s what matters.

It’s the same with investing. If it brings in money, it’s good investing. If it doesn’t – then you’ve invested badly.

Sure, you can make all the excuses you want. That won’t change the truth.

Either you win or you lose based on the market. The market doesn’t care what you look like, how old, tall or green you are.

It shows you the truth.

That’s when you know you can stand it.

That’s why I love copywriting (and also investing). It shows me the truth. Whether I’m good or not. It’s up to me to find out how to get better, but this is where it starts.

Of course there’s something better than great copy.

Talk to you about it soon,

Steven

P.S.

You probably know what it is, but I didn’t realize how important it was until later.
